Works from Undergraduate/Graduate Studies
A Collection of Some of my Proudest Academic Works
The focus on this page will primarily be on graduate study works. There are plenty of works I have completed in my five and a half years of university studies, many of note within the last one and a half years, that I could include in my portfolio.
I need to narrow it down to my finest work, however, especially on the graduate study side of things. I know my capabilities as a writer, but to maintain diversity in my portfolio, I need to include visual presentations, as well.

This is why I am including a healthy variety of work in my portfolio. I am providing a diverse range of material from my graduate studies, which reflect the primary focus areas of the program’s curriculum, including strategic communication, communicative analysis, and communication theory. This material includes written and multimedia content, all with very different topics.

I want to include these various forms of material because communication is not a science; it is not a “one size fits all” profession by any means. Rather, it is a multi-faceted art that requires you to be excellent at conveying ideas in multiple forms or mediums. As I stated earlier, I know my capabilities as a writer; I know what I want to say, but I am even better at putting my thoughts and ideas on paper. Despite this, I have taught public speaking courses, as well! I want to include multimedia/video projects in this portfolio to still showcase my abilities as a writer and organizer, but also my abilities as a speaker. Like I said, there’s no “one size fits all” in communication; good communicators need to excel in all mediums.

Together, the pieces I will be including on this portfolio represent my growth as a critical thinker and as a strategic communicator. These pieces of work mean a lot to me, as many of these works introduced me to new dynamics of the field of communication. By enhancing critical thinking skills and increasing my adaptability as both a learner and as a professional, my portfolio displays my mastery of communication.
