Global Communication: Multimedia Website

This project asked me to create an interactive, multimedia website with the purpose of illuminating a global issue of some form. I chose to go the environmental route and ended up on deforestation as my topic of choice, as I felt that it was an issue in my childhood that seemingly "disappeared," despite the actual issue not really getting any better. This project was part of the curriculum for COMM 724: Technology, Globalization, and Communication.

One goal of this project was to, as previously stated, shed light on the severity of deforestation around the globe, why it is still in practice, and who/what it affects. Another goal was to enhance my abilities as a communicator to analyze all sides of a global ethics issue along with enhancing my ability to communicate effectively through different mediums. Website construction has never been my strong suit, but I feel proud of how this multimedia website turned out.

The primary essential learning objectives of this project are new media, ethics, and critical thinking/problem solving.
